About
The mission
In a world overflowing with information, the real challenge isn’t finding knowledge—it’s knowing what’s worth learning, making time to learn it, and applying it to your life.
My mission is to extract timeless lessons from the most influential books, podcasts, personal experiences, and more to help you do three things:
•Discover your life’s purpose
•Set meaningful goals to achieve that purpose
•Take action to turn those goals into reality
By bridging the gap between wisdom and real-world application, I want to help you create a clear path forward—and give you the tools to walk that path with confidence.
How to achieve it
At ZBLessons, I break down everything I’ve learned each week into a single, powerful takeaway. Every Sunday, I share a Weekly Lesson—a clear, actionable insight designed to stand the test of time.
To ensure every lesson is genuinely valuable, I dedicate most of my time outside of writing to immersing myself in the most influential and popular books and podcasts, seeking out ideas worth sharing. But inspiration isn’t limited to those sources—I also draw from films, YouTube, music, poetry, articles, courses, and personal experiences—wherever powerful ideas can be found.
Whether the lesson comes from a classic book, a thought-provoking podcast, or a moment of personal reflection, each post is crafted to deliver meaningful insights that help you improve your life.
Who am I ?

My name is Zak Boyd, and I’m a 21-year-old marketing student with ambitions of becoming a skilled marketer and content creator.
Growing up, education and learning weren’t my main focus—my passion was football and rugby. But after giving up my chance at a sporting career at 17, I suddenly found myself without a meaningful outlet. I spent countless hours searching for guidance, trying to figure out what to do with my life, but nothing truly helped—until I came across Jordan Peterson.
Through his lectures and courses, I began to construct a vision for my ideal life and find direction. But what fascinated me just as much was where his ideas came from. Many of his insights were shaped by great thinkers like Dostoevsky and Nietzsche, and I realized that if their work had influenced Jordan—and in turn helped me—then what else could they teach me?
This realisation sparked a deep enthusiasm for learning. But at the time, my vision for the future was still unclear. Rather than diving into the likes of Nietzsche’s works right away, I focused on solidifying my vision for an ideal life with Jordan’s guidance. It turned out that, in his view, a meaningful life involved becoming truly educated.
One quote that stuck with me was:
“Read the great classics, scientific and literary, historical—all of that. You’ll get educated, and then you’ll be sharp and coherent and articulate and powerful… able to formulate problems and solve them. And that’s exactly what you should be doing when you get educated.”
He also emphasized the importance of writing about what you learn, saying:
“Writing is a way of formulating your thoughts ever more precisely.”
That advice became a guiding principle for me and part of my vision. I wanted to immerse myself in the wisdom of history’s greatest minds—and ZBLessons is my way of putting that into action, while also sharing those lessons with anyone who might find them valuable.
Additionally, as I mentioned, I have aspirations to become a skilled marketer. So this platform not only allows me to explore life-changing ideas as a passion project but also helps me grow and refine my marketing skills.
I’m just starting this journey, and I’d love for you to be part of it. Together, we can learn, grow, and build something meaningful—one lesson at a time.
The Pheonix
The phoenix is a mythological bird known for its ability to be reborn. When its time comes, it bursts into flames, turns to ashes, and rises anew—stronger than before.
This mirrors the journey of personal transformation and growth. Every time you learn something meaningful, you must let go of old habits, beliefs, and identities that no longer serve you in order to adopt the lesson. Like the phoenix, you burn away parts of your past self to make room for growth. With each lesson, you are slowly reborn—reshaped into a new and stronger person
